Managing Home Records
Home Records keeps the information requested during a repair or warranty claim with the appliance or installed system it belongs to. A record can hold a model number, serial number, receipt, warranty, manual, purchase details, and service contacts.
Add a record
Open Home Records from the sidebar or mobile menu. Select Add record, then enter a name and category. Those are the only required fields. SeasonKeep saves the record before it requests an upload URL, so a storage or file-validation error does not discard the equipment details you entered.
Home Plan includes three records and one attachment per record. Home Pro includes 250 records per home, ten attachments per record, 5 GB of account storage, warranty email reminders, and exports.
Attach private documents
Open a record and choose a document type before selecting a file. SeasonKeep accepts PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and HEIF files up to 10 MB. The file stays in private object storage. Download links expire after five minutes.
PDF and HEIC or HEIF files download instead of opening inside SeasonKeep. JPEG, PNG, and WebP images can appear as thumbnails after the server verifies their file signature. SeasonKeep does not scan files for malware in this version. Upload files only from people you trust as owners or editors of the home.
Warranty status
SeasonKeep uses only the warranty dates you enter. It does not infer coverage from a purchase date, installation date, manufacturer, or product category.
Home Pro can email the home owner 60 days and 14 days before an entered warranty expiration date after the owner turns warranty email on in Settings > Notifications. Editors and viewers can see the warranty state in the app but do not receive these emails.
Shared homes
Home Pro allows accepted editors and viewers to use Home Records. Editors can add and update records and documents. Viewers can read records and download documents. Only the home owner can permanently delete a record.
Usage is charged to the home owner's plan even when an editor uploads a document.
Plan changes
SeasonKeep does not delete records or documents after a downgrade. Existing records remain visible and downloadable. Editing stops until the home fits every limit of the current plan or the owner upgrades.
To reduce usage, the owner can delete records and documents while the collection is read-only. Restoring Home Pro access makes preserved records editable again.
