How to Add Your Home
Home setup helps SeasonKeep choose relevant maintenance tasks and seasonal timing. The optional maintenance checkup helps refine task dates using the condition and service history you report.
You do not need to know every detail. Choose I Don't Know where available, leave optional fields blank, or use Save & Continue Later to return to setup later. Required inputs are labeled (required).
Welcome
Select Get Started to begin the five-step setup. The checkup comes after home setup and is optional.
Step 1: Location
Enter your five-digit US ZIP code. This helps match tasks and seasonal timing to your climate. If the lookup cannot match your ZIP code, select a climate zone manually.
Step 2: Home Basics
Enter your home's year built, square footage, number of stories, and property type. These are required in setup. Home age helps identify age-related recommendations; size and stories provide context for task guidance. Property type suggests common features for you to review in step 4.
A home name is optional. Use one if it helps you tell your homes apart.
Step 3: Your Home Systems
Select your HVAC type, roof material, and water heater type. Each requires a selection, but I Don't Know is a valid answer.
Central air conditioning, system ages, water source, and sewer type are optional. Add what you know so the plan can include relevant maintenance. Well and septic systems have different needs from municipal services.
An approximate system age range is enough. If you know an installation year, open Add installation year (optional). Hiding this field does not erase the year. Leave ages and years blank if you do not know them.
Step 4: Features & Priority
Review the suggested features and select the ones your home has so their maintenance can be included. The feature selection and pet count are optional. Existing suggested features remain selected unless you change them.
Keep the selected maintenance level or choose which task priorities appear in your schedule. You can change the maintenance level later.
Step 5: Your First Look
Review your details and use Edit to return to a section. Select Generate My Calendar to create your home and start calendar generation, then Go to My Dashboard. Your schedule appears when generation finishes.
Optional Maintenance Checkup
You can start using your calendar without completing the checkup. Select Take Checkup from the dashboard or schedule when you want to refine task timing.
Answer from what you already know. Not Sure is a valid condition answer. For a system that looks good or is fair/aging, choose an approximate service time or Don't know. Exact service dates are optional. Seasonal tasks still follow seasonal scheduling.
- Update My Schedule uses your saved answers to refine task timing.
- Finish with defaults keeps any saved answers and uses default timing for unanswered areas. Your home profile still determines which tasks are included. This completes the checkup; it does not pause it.
If an answer cannot be saved, use Retry saving answers before finishing.
Correcting Details Later
Update home details in the home's profile settings. The home owner can also select Restart Checkup there. Restarting clears the previous checkup answers and regenerates the calendar so the owner can complete the questionnaire again. Shared editors cannot restart the checkup.
